Project 喜怒哀樂(Happiness, Anger, Sorrow, Pleasure)
Just another day at the studio.
It has been about a week since I came back from my winter getaway. I already miss the warmth and the beach.. urgh maybe next winter again.
What is my first impression since I got back..? ‘Thunder Bay is still cold and snowy.’ which will probably won’t change until about end of April, so I decided to spend bit more time shooting this project.
The more I shoot, I find that it is pretty ‘extremely’ hard to express clear emotions. For example, how would you distinguish ‘Happiness’ and ‘Pleasure(Joy)’. Or.. maybe the change we go through once we become adults.. you know, all those eyes and ears you have to watch, and we just learn not to express our emotions on our faces.
I am really bad at making any facial expressions. Period.
I just have a feeling that I need to hide my emotions from other people. You may ask me why, I really don’t know.
Do you remember when I explained to you about what 喜怒哀樂 [hee-roh-ae-rahk] means?
Happiness, Anger, Sorrow, and Pleasure.
Four major emotions cycling through out your life.
Begin with Happiness, but it will eventually end up with Pleasure.
Thanks Nancy for coming for the photoshoot.
I know that it’s not easy to make facial expressions especially in front of a huge camera.. hahaha
And stay tuned for more posts!
